Born and rooted in Roorkee, District Haridwar, Pranay Pratap Singh has dedicated over a decade to public service, student welfare, and youth leadership. His political initiation began in student politics circa 2013, championing campus rights, academic equity, and student welfare as NSUI General Secretary and College President.
Complementing his political commitment, Pranay has served as the Managing Director of Hotel Castle View in Roorkee since October 2017. This professional background gives him firsthand insight into local commerce, employment challenges, service industry dynamics, and the economic hurdles faced by Roorkee’s business community.
Within the Indian National Congress organisation, Pranay steadily earned administrative trust through dedicated grassroots work, serving as State Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress from 2022 to March 2025. Today, he holds senior organisational responsibilities as General Secretary of the Uttarakhand Youth Congress and State Secretary of the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee (UKPCC).
Guided by the civic pledge 'मेरी रुड़की! मेरी ज़िम्मेदारी' (My Roorkee! My Responsibility) and the mission 'Youth For Change', Pranay focuses on actionable civic issues — from combating urban waterlogging and championing civic parks reclamation to building sport facilities and nurturing youth entrepreneurship across Roorkee.
